update on this past week: Thursday night was a night out with Alex, although it took some time for this one to get up and go to dinner. and Friday night was a night for Amanda’s cooking. Some friends came over while Amanda cooked us up some dinner, pork cutlets over jasmine rice complete with string beans. She found the recipe here. Saturday was a day for good friends. The girl was lost. She found herself seeking the roads of her childhood and recalled a time when she was carefree and forever happy. In her mind’s eye, she knew where this path would lead her. Away from the city, with it’s bright lights and clamor, she sat alone under her faithful sycamore tree, a beacon in a sea of grass, contemplating her life; the mistakes she had made, filled with...

Sun Jars, complete!
I finished my sun jars (with the help of a certain boyfriend) and they turned out fabulously. I used LED garden lights, so they have a more white glow rather than the orangy color, which I love. The lights I used fit perfectly in the lid of the mason jar, so all that was needed was a little hot glue! Special thanks to this wonderful site, for their great tutorial.

Lately,
Yesterday was Alex’s birthday which started out with him hanging my flower box outside my window and us picking out some flowers at our local home depot: (I’m wearing the locket he bought for me one Christmas) And we actually bought these beauties with pennies! (after going to a coinstar of course). Below is $22 dollars worth of mainly pennies, (: Then later we had dinner at the...

I am so excited! I got all the things I need to make sun jars! I talked about them in a previous blog, and I found a how-to featuring all the steps to make one of these bad boys. So I went to Ikea yesterday and bought four mason jars for it and today I bought the frosting spray and solar panel lights and all. The putting together of everything will be a thing for tomorrow. AAnd, the cute one...

fmylife: Today, my dad got really drunk. When I was about to go to bed, he was just coming out of the bathroom, he was fully naked, I immediately turned away and said “Okay Dad, time for bed”. Thinking that I was my mum, he replied with “That’s right bitch, I’m your daddy, I’ll show you in bed”. FML ….oh gawwwwd

Alaska
A few months ago my father travelled to Alaska for work.  He came home with tons of amazing photos, making me wish to travel there myself one day.  Here are a few, taken with his Nikon D60. Eklutna, Alaska Seward, Alaska
